King Abdulaziz University held a graduation ceremony celebrating 198 graduates from its University Education Development Center fellowship programs. The event, held under the patronage of the University President, Dr. Tareef bin Youssef Alaama, took place on Wednesday, 12 November 2025, at the King Fahd Medical Research Center Auditorium, in the presence of Vice President for the Female Campus, Professor Hanaa bint Abdullah Al-Naeem.

The ceremony featured recognition of graduates, trainers, and fellowship team members, with presentations highlighting each program’s goals, achievements, and impact. A multimedia showcase illustrated how the fellowships contributed to the professional growth of participants. The event also marked the launch of the Training Excellence Badges.
The fellowships included four key programs:
• Professional Development Fellowship for University Educators (110 training hours)
• Artificial Intelligence Applications in Education and Research Fellowship
• University Researchers Fellowship
• Academic Leadership Fellowship
Each program provided 60 hours of training during one academic semester, followed by a practical application phase in the next semester.
These programs aim to empower faculty and researchers with advanced skills and knowledge aligned with global best practices in AI, education, leadership, and research.
Dr. Tareef Alaama praised the graduates as exemplary professionals, commending the University Education Development Center for designing impactful programs that enhance academic, research, and leadership capabilities.
The Center’s Director, Professor Hani Sami Brdesee, noted that the fellowships align with the university’s strategic commitment to developing academic human capital and improving teaching, learning, and research practices, in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
